Kispang Polytechnic Institute is committed to maintaining a disciplined, respectful, and academically stimulating environment that promotes excellence in technical education, particularly in Diploma/PCL programs in Pharmacy and General Medicine.
All students enrolled at the institute are required to strictly adhere to the following rules and regulations. Any violation of these provisions may result in disciplinary actions including warnings, parental notification, suspension, or expulsion in accordance with institutional policies.
1. Discipline and Institutional Conduct
Students must observe the Code of Conduct established by the institute and demonstrate responsible, respectful, and professional behavior at all times.
- Any form of irresponsible, disrespectful, aggressive, or disruptive behavior toward teachers, administrative staff, or fellow students shall be considered an act of indiscipline and may invite strict disciplinary measures, including expulsion from the institute.
- The use of cigarettes, tobacco products, chewing gum, or similar substances within the college premises—particularly while in uniform—is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate disciplinary action.
- Students shall be held financially responsible for any loss, destruction, or damage caused to institutional property, infrastructure, equipment, or facilities.
- Minor acts of misconduct may result in a formal warning; repeated violations will be reported to parents or guardians. However, serious violations—including possession, consumption, or distribution of drugs or alcohol, theft, vandalism, physical altercations, group conflicts, or deliberate absence from classes—may result in immediate suspension or expulsion.
- Visitors, including friends or relatives of students, may enter the campus only with prior permission from the college administration.
- The use of mobile phones, tablets, laptops, or other electronic devices during instructional hours is strictly prohibited unless prior authorization is granted by the concerned authority. Unauthorized usage may lead to confiscation and disciplinary action.
2. Timing and Attendance
- As per institutional and regulatory guidelines, a minimum attendance of 90% in each subject is mandatory for eligibility to appear in final examinations conducted under the affiliated authority.
- Students are required to arrive on campus before the commencement of scheduled classes. Late arrivals will not be permitted to enter the classroom.
- All students must remain present and attentive in their respective classrooms prior to the beginning of each academic period.
- Leaving the classroom without the permission of the concerned teacher is strictly prohibited. Access to the cafeteria or other non-academic spaces during class hours is not permitted.
- Leave applications must be submitted in advance, preferably one day prior to absence. In case of illness, a valid medical certificate or doctor’s prescription must be provided.
- In case of emergency absence, students or guardians must inform the administration before the commencement of classes.
- Continuous absence for more than 15 consecutive days without official notification may result in cancellation of enrollment.
3. Uniform and Personal Appearance
- The prescribed institutional uniform must be worn on all academic days. Students without proper uniform will not be permitted to enter the college premises.
- Student identification cards must be visibly worn within the campus at all times.
- Students are expected to maintain a neat, professional, and modest appearance. The following are strictly discouraged:
- Inappropriate or non-uniform attire
- Short tops or excessively fashionable clothing
- Unnecessary ornaments or heavy makeup
- Untidy or bleached hair (for male students)
- Improperly worn ties or untucked shirts
- Students are strictly prohibited from visiting public entertainment venues such as cafes, restaurants, hotels, cinemas, parks, shopping malls, or private gatherings while wearing the institutional uniform.
- Students are strictly prohibited from making and posting Tik-tok videos, photos on social platform wearing the intuitional uniform.
4. Examination and Academic Responsibilities
- The institute conducts three Terminal Examinations and continuous internal assessments during each academic session in accordance with institutional academic policies.
- Students who fail to appear in Terminal Examinations without valid justification or prior approval may be deemed ineligible to sit for the final examinations.
- All students must strictly follow examination guidelines. Any involvement in unfair practices, including cheating, plagiarism, or examination misconduct, will result in strict disciplinary action.
- Students are expected to bring all required textbooks and materials to class daily and maintain separate notebooks for class notes, homework, and assignments.
- Homework, assignments, projects, and practical files must be completed and submitted within the prescribed deadlines.
- Rough practical records must be maintained prior to the submission of final practical files.
5. Financial Regulations
- All course fees must be paid according to the payment schedule established by the institute. Late payments may incur fines in accordance with institutional and regulatory guidelines.
- Fees paid to the institute are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- The fee counter remains open only during official working days.
- Security deposits or other refundable funds will be returned only after the issuance of the student’s character certificate and completion of the academic program.
